Hello Heathrow (again!)

Did you know that?

Holland exports more soy sauce per year than Japan.

2/3 of the world's population to ever have reached the age of 65 are alive today.

And...

0.3% of the solar energy of the Sahara could power Europe?

It's amazing what you can learn walking along the flight bridge to your plane. Thanks HSBC, just loving your ads!

We arrived in Barcelona last Friday 13th. The flight passed without any notable hiccups, well, unless you count the two times Naomi tipped over the family bag of chocolate M&Ms as hiccups - they were pretty disastrous events by my reckoning.

We arrived in Barcelona to a beautiful but somewhat empty airport. Maybe the Spanish are superstitious?

All of a sudden, upon our arrival, we realized that we knew no Spanish whatsoever. I remembered that gratias is thankyou. Then I also remembered that Dora the Explorer is Spanish, so I sang the theme tune to see if there were any good words in that - no, there aren't. But, after I sang it, Benny and Naomi both said 'Hola Dora', so we worked out that must mean hello Dora and they obviously say it directly after the theme tune ends. Good start;)

Hola Naomi;)

Note stylish checked carrier bag in use again - so glad nobody in the airport knew me, don't tell anyone will you?

And now we are in Barcelona!

In the Gothic quarter, next to Woki Wok takeaways;)
