The Melbourne Times

We are now in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA!!!

Ok, cheap gag, but come on, there has to be a little banter between us and our closest cousins;)

It rained on the first couple of days. Everyone is apologising for the weather (it was 24 degrees today, I think we can handle it).

We are staying with our dear friends and drinking buddies Lana and Pat, and their children, Callum, Tahli and Sam, who lived in Wellington for three years and luckily for us, chose to live in Khandallah and go to St Benedicts school. We were all sad when they returned to Melbs last year. Sam and Benny are such good friends, and have been looking forward to seeing each other, they were completely back to normal (ish!) straight away.

The first day we hit the Victoria Market, running for cover between the different canvas covered 'departments'.

The farmers market there is great, we stocked up on all the fruit and veggies for the roast dinner, and some cheeses and dips for the obligatory pre-dinner wine accompanying nibbles.

The dips ladies, I asked them to say cheese;)

The beetroot dip was delish!

And Lana and Tahli and I said 'cheers' with the wine guys.

Don't you just love buying local? Especially in a different country;)

Love
