Les Jardins du Manoir D'Eyrignac

We woke up yesterday in the carpark of the jardins to the concerning sound of torrential rain on the roof of the camper van. Bugger! I was a bit gutted. Alex said, 'At least it won't take us long in the rain;)'. Needless to say I was not impressed by that comment.

But, after a bit of schoolwork and a few prayers for sun, 10.30am came, the jardins opened and the heavens closed! Well, nearly. It was certainly going to be less depressing than I thought anyway.

The gardens were beautiful. Especially as we visited on a soggy day in November, it would be a delight to see them in the summer. But then again, if we had visited in the summer, I'm sure there would have been a bit more crowded. As it was, we were lucky enough to be the only visitors - funny that!

After lunch in the camper van (baguette and ham and cheese, again!) we headed towards Bordeaux. But there was a little place I wanted to stop along the way, Saint Emilion, wine region and a place that came highly recommended by my dear well travelled friends Margaret Jayne and Roger, so we found a local campsite and there we stopped, and, I don't want to make you jealous, but just look at the view from our van last night!

And a spot of Jeux du Balls/Pentanque, and we were sorted!
